Common Questions

Are your preserves really handmade?
Yes, every jar of jam is made by hand, in small batches, at our kitchen.

Where can I find the ingredient information?
Each ingredient is listed on the jar’s label as well as our website and the website of our online retail partners.

How should I store my jam?
Our jams are good for up to a year unopened in a cool, dark place. Once opened, we recommend storing the jar in the refrigerator and enjoying it within a year.

Is Neat Nick Preserves certified organic?
While we do not have our organic certification, we use organic products when we are able.

Are your preserves gluten free?
Most of our products are naturally gluten free. However, we do have special releases of preserves that may contain ingredients (such as beer or bourbon) which may contain wheat, barley, or rye from their manufacture. We suggest always checking the product label to be sure.

Are your preserves free of any major allergens?
Our preserves do not contain any of the major allergens, including dairy, egg, soy, fish, shellfish, nuts, or tree nuts. However, our products are handmade in a kitchen facility that is used to create other products which may contain allergens. Our kitchen facility meets state and federal requirements for sanitization and protocols to avoid cross-contamination.

Where are you located?
Our kitchen facility is located in Maryland and our headquarters is in Ellicott City.

Do you have a store front?
We do not have a brick and mortar location. However, with advance notice, we can schedule special order pick-ups. Please email
